IDT is seeking a FSO (Facility Security Officer) to support its Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The FSO will support all security functions related to personnel, facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The FSO will be responsible for administering, executing, and ensuring organizational compliance to Department of Defense (DoD) and company regulations, policies and procedures governing the protection of DoD classified and non‐classified information. This position will receive guidance from the CSO (Corporate Security Officer) located in Arlington, Va.
MANDATORY Requirements:
- Experience with DSS policies and procedures.
- Experience and working knowledge of NISPOM.
- Experience using JPAS, eFCL, and ISFD
The FSO’s functions include:
‐ Submission, processing, and maintenance of personnel security applications
to the Defense Security Service (DSS);
‐ Manage facility access for company personnel, including employee IDs, key cards;
‐ Storage, maintenance and accountability of classified materials;
‐ Serving as the interface with government and private sector counterparts;
‐ Managing the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS);
‐ Conduct security briefings and debriefings;
‐ Oversight of facility design, security alarms and safeguards;
‐ Maintain personnel security files and perform audits.
- Maintain FSO training requirements
In addition, this person will have office administration responsibilities for the IDT NJ office. These responsibilities will ensure overall smooth and efficient office operations.
The Office Administration functions include:
- Support with HR functions, including interview and hiring process
- General Office Administration
- Time charging and accounting
- Employee training
- Office supplies and equipment procurement
- Help orgianize customer meetings
- Program deliverables and document processing
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience, preferably in a security position for the government or government contractor (e.g. FSO or Assistant FSO preferred). Ideal candidate would also have experience with information systems, PKI, and are familiar with the ISSM role.
