Traditional Test and Evaluation methods have not kept pace with today’s rapid software development techniques. Automated testing strategies and technologies like those provided with ATRT are critical to successfully executing complex programs on schedule and at an order of magnitude below traditional testing budget expectations.

The Navy’s most complex combat systems are utilizing ATRT to realize the benefits of automated testing. These complex systems include both surface combatants and submarine combat systems in our nation’s most prestigious war fighters. ATRT has provided solutions for both display surface and message based testing as well as in-depth analysis coverage with impressive returns.

Surface Combatant

Through the combined efforts of the government and IDT test teams; this customer was able to realize significant reductions in test execution time and resources during their initial phase of ATRT implementation. The test execution time was reduced by more than a factor of 8 (eight hours to less than one hour) and resulted in a 5:1 reduction in people required to execute the test. Today, IDT continues to work with this team as they work toward a fully automated test program.
